The Volvo XC90 has been with us for 10 years now -- a long time indeed when it comes to product life cycles of comparable upmarket SUVs. The stylish sport utility was a popular seller in North America for a good part of that decade, and for a while was even offered with a 4.4 liter V8 engine developed by Yamaha and shared with the second-gen S80 (a first for a Volvo passenger car). Hyundai is plotting two different sports cars to replace the Coupe, CAR Online has learned: a low-volume, rear-wheel drive model to raise the profile of the Korean brand, and a more conventional coupe to raise sales. The Genesis Coupe, unveiled at the March 2008 New York auto show and aimed principally at the US market, is being touted as Hyundai's answer to the Vauxhall VXR8. It's a big, rear-wheel drive sports car that's powered by a choice of 306bhp 3.8-litre V6 and 210bhp 2.0-litre turbo.It's the bright red car pictured in the main image in our gallery above.
A top luxury car finance house has revealed that the Range Rover Evoque is now the most popular financed car. Land Rover is still struggling to keep up with demand for the Range Rover Evoque, and is busy recruiting like mad and moving production to a 24hr, three shift system to help keep up with the number of Evoques flying out of showrooms. In the first year on sale, the Evoque racked up sales of 18,000 and so in demand is the Evoque that Land Rover are even resorting to trying to block grey market sales.
